JJ-Net Group's camera car capturing Finnish cities
Since April 2009 JJ-Net Group's camera car takes pictures of Finland's biggest cities for the Fonecta 02.fi-service.
JJ-Net's founder and the constructor of the car, Jussi Jeskanen, hopes for appropriate weather while coordinating virtual scenery projects.
The camera on the car and shoots pictures while moving 20 kph. But taking the pictures is just the first step - afterwards the enormous amount of pictures is processed with JJ-Net's virtual panorama software that attaches pictures, inserts links between sceneries etc.
The end result is a virtual environment that represents the original and combines pictures with different levels of content. The viewer is free to tour and discover it all.
